Enhancing Amazon EC2 Through Novell New Online Tool
The deployment of virtual software appliances such as Amazon EC2 compute cloud is being supported by Novell, an online company that aims to provide the best support for these types of applications. Recently, Novell released the SUSE Appliance Toolkit 1.1. It is an online tool which is hoped to improve both the security patches as well as virtual software appliances.
Novell is currently competing with other providers and developers in the market, including Red Hat, which has recently also released their version of an open source project. This is called Enterprise Virtualization. Despite this, many reviewers have prefered the Novell version so far.
